Firstcall are currently working with a leading provider of Fund and Corporate Services to recruit a Trainee Fund Accountant into their Guernsey office.

Our client is a first rate employer and as such they look for bright, enthusiastic individuals that are willing to embrace all learning opportunities in order to become well versed with professional understanding in a very busy business environment.

This role will see you assisting with the day-to-day accounting of fund structures reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager. Some of your responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting with the bookkeeping of funds, management companies and associated fund structures
  • Assisting with the completion of routine audit queries
  • Assist with all aspects of accounting matters
  • Preparation of periodic bank reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns

To be considered for this role you should be willing to study towards a relevant professional qualification i.e. CAT or ACCA and will have good computer skills & the capability to pick up new technology along with interpersonal skills that will allow you to build strong relationships with your team members & other co-colleagues.
