Qualifications: Relevant professional Accounting Qualification

Job Specification: This is an opportunity for an Accounting professional to join a Commercial organisation as a Financial Accountant with the responsibility of ensuring compliance with statutory & legal obligations when managing the financial reporting.

Within this position the incumbent will carry out;

  • Preparation of annual financial statements ensuring best practice along with meeting statutory obligations to include taxation
  • Maintain accurate recording of accounting transactions
  • Preparation and management of budgets
  • Ensure the timely and accurate payment of suppliers and the financial accounting for capital assets, stocks and depreciation, ensuring maintenance of records
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory accounts

Along with the above qualifications the successful candidate will have the ability to communicate to varying levels of staff to include Senior Managers/Executive Directors. The ability to work methodically and follow procedures is key due to the nature of the role.

Department: Accounting Portfolio / Fund

Qualifications: Applicants must have 3 years company secretarial experience and/or 5 years property fund administration experience.  Candidates must have an understanding of accounting principles and property related transactions and a familiarity with Anti-money laundering requirements.  A knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Job Role: An individual is needed to support the Property Fund Department Manager of the team in ensuring that clients are provided with an efficient company secretarial and administration service by the department, in accordance with the clients' needs and the policies and procedures of the company.  Some duties will include day to day management responsibilities for the Property Fund Accounting team, organizing the work of the team, assigning tasks and monitoring activity, conducting performance management and career development processes and providing support to the budget management process.
